  • What is Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy?

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) was created by Sue Johnson in the 1980’s. It is viewed as a humanistic approach to psychotherapy that includes understanding adult attachment. We are wired for connection and a felt sense of belonging; EFT focuses on the natural pull of human behavior to heal attachments wounds and connect with others on the deepest level of our being.

  • Hold Me Tight® Workshop & Intensive

This workshop is designed around the seven conversations of love based on the Hold Me Tight book. This program is designed and curated by Dr. Sue Johnson, and executed by clinicians that have completed extensive training. We offer both Group Workshops and Private Intensives. For our group workshop, you will engage in group presentations, and private conversations and consults with your partner. We take your confidentiality to heart, so know that during this program, our practice of skills is completed in break out groups with just you, your partner, and a workshop leader supporting you along the way. Our intensives are offered at request and completed as a 2-day intensive for just you and your partner.

  • What's Included?

This workshop is a 2-day intensive for all couples. Each couple will be given a workbook and The Hold Me Tight book that includes helpful exercises and tools to increase your connection and happiness in your relationship. Breakfast and snacks are complimentary on both days of the workshop. Our workshop also includes a follow up session with one of the therapists to support you in continuing your learning.

  • Who is Hold Me Tight® For?

If you are new in your relationship, dating, cohabitating, engaged or have been married for decades, Hold Me Tight® brings skills and tools to support couples in feeling secure in their relationship. Get to know your partner and your relationship in a way that cultivates safety, connection and harmony.
